I can’t enumerate how many verses in the Quran there are on how and why Allah has constantly reassured us.
Many times He puts hope in the Patient.
Many times He comforts the Depressed.
Many times He soothes the One Undergoing Hardship,
Many times He guides the Ones who are Lost,
Many times He promises the delight to come,
Many times He tells us that He is near, even when we make ourselves distant from Him.
Yaa Rahmaan, how Merciful you have been to us!
As human beings, we were created as slaves. We were created to please and serve. That purpose is innate, divinely decreed.
As a man, a woman, a spouse, a parent, a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter, and even as a neighbor, we need that constant assurance: of being loved, of being supported, of being heard, of being understood, and of being certain.
As an individual, we crave for validation as again it comes from the fact that we need to be reassured; that we are thinking and doing the right things. To reassure is to be human.
As a believer, reassuring our Ummah is my responsibility and yours. Islam is a community-based religion. We understand that every believer is considered a stranger and a traveller . As we make our way to Jannah, there are many paths we can take and on those paths, we will bound to meet other travellers and strangers. Together we form groups of travellers to Jannah and we are bonded to be a community of strangers who walk on the paths to Ar-Rahmaan. This one common goal of striving towards our Lord is what makes us brothers and sisters in Islam.
“A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim – he does not wrong him nor does he forsake him when he is in need; whosoever is fulfilling the needs of his brother, Allah is fulfilling his needs; whosoever removes distress from a believer, Allah removes from him a distress from a distressful aspect of the Day of Resurrection; and whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.” – Bukhari & Muslim
Supporting each other until now has never been so dire. I pray that all of us treat each other as how we wish to be treated. I hope that we are hard on ourselves in striving to be a better slave to Allah and I hope that we strive to be gentle on others . I pray that each of us will uphold the rights of our fellow believers.
Lastly, I pray that we one day rise as an obedient and victorious Ummah. Indeed, the gain of this Ummah is our gain and the loss of this Ummah is our loss.

May Allah gives us the understanding of this religion the way He wants us to understands it.
